Mixpanel

Mixpanel is a product analytics platform that helps you understand how users interact with your digital products.

Authentication Types​

Mixpanel supports 1 authentication method:

  • API Key - Use your Mixpanel service account credentials for authentication.
    • Pros: Simple setup
    • Cons: Single credential for all users

Generating API Credentials​

  1. Go to mixpanel.com and log in

  2. Click on the gear icon (Settings) in the top right

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Service Accounts
  1. Click Create Service Account
  1. Enter a Name for the service account
  1. Select the Role (permissions level)

  1. Click Create

  2. Copy the Username (service account ID) and Secret

  1. In Webrix, enter the credentials in the format: username:secret

Note: Make sure the service account has access to the projects you want to query.
