Skills
Create and manage Agent Skills - folders of instructions, scripts, and resources that give agents new capabilities.
What are Agent Skills?
Agent Skills are a simple, open format for giving agents new capabilities and expertise. Skills are folders of instructions, scripts, and resources that agents can discover and use to do things more accurately and efficiently.
The Agent Skills format was originally developed by Anthropic, released as an open standard, and has been adopted by leading AI development tools including Cursor, Claude, VS Code, GitHub, and many more.
Skills solve the context problem - agents are increasingly capable, but often don't have the context they need to do real work reliably. Skills give agents access to:
- Procedural knowledge - Step-by-step instructions for specific tasks
- Domain expertise - Specialized knowledge from legal review to data analysis
- Company/team context - Organization-specific information loaded on demand
Why Use Skills?
- New capabilities - Give agents abilities like creating presentations, building MCP servers, or analyzing datasets
- Repeatable workflows - Turn multi-step tasks into consistent, auditable processes
- Interoperability - Reuse the same skill across different AI tools that support the format
