Adding MCP Servers

You can add custom MCP servers to your workspace.

Add a New Server

  1. Click the + Add MCP button in the top right
  2. Fill in the server details:
    • Name - A display name for the server (e.g., "My MCP Server")
    • MCP URL - The HTTP endpoint URL of your MCP server (e.g., https://example.com/mcp)
  3. Select an authentication method
  4. Click Add MCP

Authentication Options

No Authentication

Select this option if your MCP server doesn't require authentication. The server will be accessible without any credentials.

OAuth

Select this option if your MCP server uses OAuth for authentication. You'll be prompted to complete the OAuth flow when connecting.

Cross-app Access

Select this option for servers that use cross-application authentication mechanisms.

Server URL Requirements

The MCP URL should be:

  • A valid HTTP/HTTPS endpoint
  • Accessible from Webrix (check firewall rules if on-premise)
  • Running a compatible MCP server implementation

After Adding

Once added, the server will appear in your MCP Servers list. You may need to:

  1. Click Connect to establish the connection
  2. Complete any required authentication
  3. Enable the Use toggle to make tools available
